DG007 Uitgeschakeld / Werewolf Jerusalem — Split

We’re delighted to release this split by Uitgeschakeld and Werewolf Jerusalem. Uitgeschakeld is the harsh noise wall project by Casper van der Veen from the Netherlands, started in 2014. Werewolf Jerusalem is Richard Ramirez from the United States, harsh noise artist since 1989. There’s no need to describe what to expect.

Side A: UITGESCHAKELD — RUSTELOOS
“The title is the Dutch word for “restless.” It’s about that feeling of being unable to find focus or peace—a restlessness that overwhelms you but also prevents you from holding on to anything because you can’t find your focus. That’s what I wanted to express in the music as well. Uitgeschakeld deals with more abstract themes and aims to “shut down” the listener’s ego with a massive wall of noise—on the one hand, because they’re overwhelmed by the noise, and on the other, because they can sink into the layers of the wall.” —Casper van der Veen

Recorded in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
